This was Kure Beach, North Carolina, sometime in 99'...beautiful green blue ocean.

A shot from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel...it was rather exciting walking directly over (and so close to)so much traffic...and, having a beautiful ocean view on each side was an added bonus.

I think this local view could easily pass for a tropical one... surprising. It looks nicer in the picture, but it was nice enough in person too. A quiet pleasant spot.

Netherlands shoreline... the stones contrast nicely with the water...but they're hard to walk on (if you happen to be there, and trying). The beautiful view kind of makes that unimportant...

Looking towards the sun...the camera saw more than I did...it was so bright... pretty blue water...love this.

It's really amazing just how quickly the sun appears to set in this type of setting....one moment it's there, the next, gone. Blink, and you miss it. It sure doesn't seem that fast when I'm battling rush hour traffic. It doesn't seem as pretty either..but then, there isn't a beautiful ocean accompanying the view.

2 favorites...(ocean view, bird) One lone gull....several were nearby, but I guess this one wanted some time to itself...(maybe it found something to scavenge). This is Misquamicut, MA.

Hello you beautiful sea lion! I think this was at the NL Dolphinarium....but I'm not sure. Might've been at a safari park. I loved visiting these places, even though it was usually cold and raining!

This is my favorite part of being at the beach... watching the waves crest and crash. Even little ones. It's rather soothing if you allow it to be.

This is a lighthouse in Egmond, NL. And here is a webcam of it (usually showing the ocean in the background). It was really cool to find this and realize, I've been there! It's a beautiful area.

Beautiful snap during a whale watch outing... wish I could go on more of those... great to get so close.

Local shot last summer during a 3 day getaway. It's nice to change the routine from time to time, especially if it means a trip to the beach.

This was early morning in Ocean City, MD (in 1999)...busiest boardwalk I've ever seen (not in the picture). More traffic on the boardwalk than on the beach. Something I never understood....you're at the beach....it's 90+ degrees...beautiful ocean, right there...hop in, cool off? Oh noooo, must-walk-the boardwalk! Maybe it was something in the water... hmmm.
